I'm back to work after celebrating who I am/WE are with 4 of my best friends (Antonio, Nelis, Daniel, Fred) in my home state for Columbus Pride.
It's been an emotional few weeks but I'm getting my first paycheck tomorrow post-dayjob promotion, I'm replacing 2 roommates I met on Craigslist–during an extremely stressful and emotionally challenging time–with ONE of my best friends, I bought a car, I submitted paperwork to be paid for one of the most fun shoots I've done (written by Sean McConnell who wrote the second sketch show I did in Chicago, "History Meat,") and I'm starting the Blackbox Studio acting program, 2 web series, and pre-production on another spooky treat with my favorite creeps with Into the Void Films. I don't say this to brag... I say this because I needed to be reminded of successes today as I started my 3rd cup of coffee, and hope you all can take a 15 minute break to remind yourself of everything you've done/are doing/will do.
I'm single, I'm stressed, I'm sunburned, and I'm doing what I need to do so I can do what I love to do. I think this is what "happy" feels like. And I'm grateful.
I could thank like 100 people that I'm happy to call a friend, colleague, inspiration, and/or a family member but I should be working right now... So...
"Thank you for being a friend,
Traveled down the road and back again,
Your heart is true you're a pal and a confidant.
And if you threw a party,
Invited everyone you ever knew,
You would see the biggest gift would be from me,
And the card attached would say, "thank you for being a friend."
Never give up. Always be strong. You're all the breast. <3
